1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup sifted powdered sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/8 teaspoon allspice
1/8 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
2 cups skim milk
1 egg yolk, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix dry ingredients in a saucepan; stir in milk and egg yolk. Cook over medium heat until the mixture thickens, stirring constantly to prevent scorching. Add vanilla. Pour into 4 dessert dishes. Garnish with raspberries or banana slices. Serve warm or chilled.
