Dairy Farmers of Oregon Academic All-State

This sponsorship in collaboration with the Oregon Schools Activities Association—aka OSAA—recognizes outstanding achievement in the classroom. The boys and girls team in each OSAA-sanctioned activity with the highest team grade point average (GPA) earns the Academic All-State Award.

Each member of a winning team receives a coveted “got milk?” sweatshirt, a commemorative pin and a certificate. The school receives a plaque in honor of its winning team.

Members of top ten schools in each activity at each classification are also recognized with a commemorative pin.

Portland Winterhawks

The Portland Winterhawks hockey team competes in the Western Hockey League and plays their homes games in the Memorial Coliseum and the Rose Garden. The Dairy Farmers of Oregon supplies the team with chocolate milk as a sports recovery beverage consumed at the completion of each home game and several practice sessions. The team’s head trainer recognizes the restorative and rehydration value of chocolate milk for the professional athletes under his supervision.
