On keeping school milk cool.futp60 cold milk barrel

Did you know students drink more milk when it’s fresh and cold? And, did you know it’s possible for Oregon schools to use Fuel Up To Play 60 grant funds to help defray the cost of milk coolers? For more information about Fuel Up To Play 60 funding grants, please contact Cara Seger at caras@oregondairycenter.org.

Coolers keep school milk at its ideal temperature of 35°F to 40°F, resulting in optimal taste. Temperatures above 40°F reduce the shelf life of milk. Strive for 35°F and milk will stay fresh longer. That’s good for students and good for your school’s bottom line.
